Exporting Leads for Social Media Advertising

Leadpipes makes it easy to export your leads in the correct format for uploading to major social media advertising platforms. With platform-specific formatting built in, you can seamlessly create custom audiences for your ad campaigns.

How to Export Leads for Social Advertising

1. Add leads to My Leads – Select the leads you want to export and add them to your My Leads drawer
   
   
2. Open the My Leads drawer – Click to view your My Leads list
   
   
3. Click the "Download" button – Look for the download option in the drawer
   
   
4. Select "Social Advertising Audience" – Choose this export format from the options
   
   
5. Choose your platform – Select the social media platform where you'll be uploading your audience
   
   
6. Download your file – Your export will download automatically with the appropriate formatting

That's it! Your file is now ready to upload to your chosen social advertising platform.

What's Included in Your Export

Each export includes all fields required by your selected platform. We automatically format the data according to each platform's specifications, so you can upload your audience without additional formatting work.

Important: Export files are formatted for uploading to social ad platforms. Empty fields indicate unavailable data.

Platform-Specific Features

Encryption for Reddit and Snapchat

Reddit and Snapchat require personal data to be encrypted using SHA256 hashing. We handle this automatically—your exports for these platforms will include properly encrypted data that meets their requirements.

Mobile Identifiers for TikTok

Some platforms, like TikTok, require mobile identifiers such as Apple IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) or Google GAID (Google Advertising ID).

Note: Leadpipes doesn't currently collect or populate mobile identifier data. However, we include empty columns for these identifiers in your export. If you have access to this data from another source, you can append it to the file before uploading to the platform.

Troubleshooting

Why are some fields empty in my export?
Empty fields simply mean that particular data point isn't available for those leads in Leadpipes. Social platforms typically match audiences based on the available data, so exports with some empty fields can still be successful.

Can I edit the file before uploading?
Yes! You can open the exported file and add or modify data as needed. Just be careful to maintain the file format and column structure required by your chosen platform.

What if I need mobile identifiers for TikTok?
While we don't currently populate mobile identifiers, we include columns for them in your TikTok exports. If you can obtain this data from another source, simply add it to the appropriate columns before uploading to TikTok.
